Babymoon Relax-amoon or Adventure-moon?

Everyone has a different idea for their babymoon.
Travelling pregnant.
I work a little differently to most people, hopefully some of you can relate. I find out I’m pregnant for the first time and I’m off planning the most adventurous and exhausting trip possible, knowing I won’t have another one like it for a while.
It was filled with camping, glamping, road trips, hiking, climbing, kayaking and paddle boarding. I barely slept and I barely allowed myself anytime to stop and rest. It was pretty much a trip preparing me for motherhood. It was amazing, the best trip I’ve ever planned. So if you’re pregnant and you think you can’t plan an adventurous holiday, think again.
I didn’t just choose the easiest hikes either, I did my research and after speaking with the locals I found my way to the hardest tracks possible, which delivered absolutely impeccable views! I never came back to a hotel, it was always a long drive back to a tent or cabin, with just enough energy left to eat, shower and sleep. Oh my, it was exhausting, but breathtaking at the same time. No literally, “breath taking”, the intensity of the hikes coupled with my pregnancy, was so demanding it was making me question whether there was enough oxygen in the atmosphere to keep me alive. However, like always, it was worth it when you get to the top, catch your breath, eat and hydrate amongst indescribably stunning views. Just be sure to take rest breaks as needed, drink plenty of water, pack lots of snacks and be prepared to do multiple toilet stops along the way. That pregnant belly pushing on your barely full bladder aint too much fun. Thankfully my grandma taught me how to bush-piss at a young age so I was weeing amongst the trees without any dramas.
It didn’t take me long to realise that travelling through west coast Canada and west coast America, screamed adventure. Here I was thinking it would be my last adventurous holiday when it only made me realise I can do all of this and more with my boys.
